No brand symbolizes more efficiency and competitiveness in the German sports Adidas. The brand was created when Adolph Dassler and his brother, Rudolf, started a small business called Dassler Brother Shoe Factory in the town of Herzogenaurach, Germany, selling military bags and shoes to support his family. Passionate about football, Adolph had begun to make shoes for sport training in 1920. He used his own experience and helping athletes and coaches to develop and design its shoes. The first products were athletic shoes and boots, style boots, with locks.Quickly the reputation of its products grew, being first used in 1928 Olympics in Amsterdam. In 1932 Mark won his first gold medal in the Olympics with Arthur Jonatha. One of the greatest performances of a professional athlete was due largely to the efforts and work of Adi Dassler. Jesse Owens was wearing Adidas equipment for its wonderful presentation at the 1936 Olympics when they won four gold medals. The hatred of Adolf Hitler was such that once the Second World War began, the dictator ordered the confiscation of the Dassler factory. After the conflict the control back to the brothers, who found great difficulty in keeping the business. The raw material was scarce and they had to collect the debris of war on canvas and rubber used in manufacturing its shoes.

In 1937 the company produced a range of 11 different types of footwear for sports, including skates. In 1948 the brothers decide to follow different paths, Rudolf founded Puma and Adidas Adolph. The mark was only registered on August 18, 1949.The name derives from Adidas "Adi", nickname of one of its founders, Adolph, and "Das" initials of his surname Dassler. That same year created the first football shoe, adopting the three stripes on the sides, thus resulting in one of the best known logos in the world. In the 50s the brand gained great projection within Germany, especially with winning the World Cup in 1954, where the German team used Adidas equipment. In 1957 creates the first kangaroo leather shoe soles and air. The three stripes have become popular in 1962 when they were introduced in trousers and coats manufactured by the company. It was this same year that Adidas has begun to develop and produce footballs. In 1967 marketed the first line of sportswear with the traditional three stripes. In 1970 the Telstar ball is used as the official ball of the World Cup. Two years later comes another classic, traditional sandals called Adidas Adilette. In the 90s the brand used the famous slogan "Forever Sport" to position their products to the consumer. In 1995 launched his shoe PREDATOR which soon became a big hit in the middle of football and one of the most successful products of the mighty German mark. In 2003 it launched the global campaign with the slogan "Impossible is Nothing".

The Trefoil Logo
The Adidas logo known as "Trefoil" was adopted and incorporated the company in 1972 to distinguish legitimate products from Adidas knockoffs. In 1996, the company decided to use it only in historical and traditional products such as Stan Smith, Rod Laver, the Warm-Up A-15 and T-shirt classic. The equipment line was launched in 1991. This line of footwear and sports accessories represents the most unique and functional product Adidas. In January 1996, the three stripes were incorporated into the logo.
